SERVICES

LONDON & NORTH EAST

I’m Solomon I started this through my own understanding of grief and loss but I discovered much later in life when I could’ve done with it earlier, I’ve worked as a therapist with children and young people for many years, from different social & economical backgrounds. I offer this support to children, young people and their families for a range of topics including:

Exam worries, Low confidence or self-esteem, Sexuality, Racism, Anxiety and Panic, Stress, Behavioural difficulties, Family dynamics, Divorce, Bereavement, Gender identities, Significant life change or transitions.

MY PROFFESSIONAL PROMISE

My work always has the child or young persons safety and welfare in mind, which means practising clear safe-guarding procedures and protocols within a BACP framework, of my governing body. Children and young people will be made aware of how this looks in a therapy situation.

INTEGRATIVE CHILD COUNSELLING

I’ve worked with children and young people in primary and secondary schools for many years.

As an integrative counsellor the work is about uncovering a recurring theme of ‘not feeling/being understood or feeling/being invisible to adults.’ In this challenging, fast moving world of today the responsibilities are shifting in ways that society, hasn’t quite caught up with. The goal of my practice is support children, young and families navigate these experiences successfully, so that they can contribute and be effective citizens to the best of their abilities, in our society, communities and families accordingly.

In my experience the right outcomes can only be achieved with experiences where we as clinicians have the person as a whole, in the context of their circumstances so we can offer a safe space for children to express and make sense of challenging thoughts, feelings and behaviours. I provide that space for that child to explore their feelings and gain a deeper insight into the issues they face and for the wider impact in their lives and families
